DODGE
As creative lead on Dodge social media, the goal was to maintain the brand's status as the world's # 1 muscle car. That meant our messaging was loaded with attitude and confidence, whether in an animated salute to Donut Day on Instagram, or various digital posts that amplified the character and color of Dodge's impressive line of vehicles.
COM ED
From 2023-2024, I was the sole writer working on the ComEd account at Leo Burnett USA. The scope of my assignment ran the gamut from traditional print to all things digital to holiday promotions. Every message was designed to make Chicago's major energy company less of a conglomerate and more of a neighborhood company in touch with the community.
CADENCE BANK
In order to compete with mega banks, Cadence needed to emphasize the strengths of a regional choice. That's why we created a campaign that presented Cadence as your friendly, neighborhood bank: more accessible and customizable to any sized client. Simple graphics built off the logo and the copy drove home the idea of the bank's name being in synch with each client.
ILLUSTRATION
Over the past decade, I've illustrated eight books including two theatrical memoirs and three business tomes. I've also drawn caricatures and cartoons for dozens of websites and magazines.
FILM CRITICISM
I've been freelancing as a film critic since 2010 and am certified at RottenTomatoes.com. An original charter member of the Chicago Indie Critics, my reviews of films and television programs, as well as accompanying caricatures, have appeared all over the web, most notably at TheEstablishingShot.org. My movie site has been going strong since 2010 and is followed in 27 countries. I also guest on numerous film podcasts monthly and contribute essays on show biz for the online magazine PipelineArtists.com bi-monthly.
TIKTOK
I have been creating TikTok reviews, one minute in length, since 2023. They showcase my thoughts on a film or show, accompanied by video of me drawing my take on the week's topic as well. Look for my TikTok's under JeffYorkChicago on the app. (https://www.tiktok.com/@jeffyorkchicago)
PODCASTING
From 2015-2019, I hosted a weekly podcast for the International Screenwriters Association entitled "Page 2 Screen." Each week, a fellow screenwriter and I discussed a current film or TV show from the perspective of the writer.
